GravityThe force that pulls objects towards each other is called gravity. Gravity affects surfing in many ways. One way is when you are standing on your board. If gravity wasn't there you would not be able to stay standing on the board because you would be floating in the air. The gravity is acting between you and the board because it's pulling you and the board to each other. Because of acceleration due to gravity, when you fall after riding a wave you fall at a constant rate of 9.8m/s2.
